About

I am a Research Scientist with the Math, Abstraction, Play, Learning, and Embodiment (MAPLE) Lab at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). My research focuses on the use of educational technology in mathematics education and exploring student behavioral engagement and learning strategies in online learning environments. I am particularly interested in applying learning analytics to identify students' online behaviors leading to positive learning outcomes in mathematics.

My research has been published in top-tier journals in Educational Technology and Learning Sciences fields, such as Computers and Education and Educational Technology Research and Development (ETR&D). Before coming to the U.S., I worked at several non-profit educational research organizations, including Korean Educational Development Institute (KEDI) and UNESCO Asia-Pacific Regional Bureau for Education. I received Ph.D. in Instructional Technology and Learning Sciences from Utah State University.
